Isn’t it great when people do nice things for you? Nothing beats a cheerful hello, someone who lets you go in front of them in line because you have fewer items, holding that elevator door for an extra couple of seconds… it’s the small things that really make for a great day. If that’s the case, how would someone taking care of your oil changes and other scheduled services for two years make you feel? Well, GM wants to make it a great year… make that two, for everyone who buys one of their 2014 vehicles. GM’s new Maintenance program will take care of certain scheduled maintenance services for two years/24,000 miles (whichever comes first) for customers who purchase or lease an eligible new 2014 Chevrolet, Buick or GMC vehicle. “This new plan will kick off our customers’ ownership experience on the right foot and [...]
If you’ve seen Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, you know that going on road trips for a certain goal is quite the adventure.  Daniel and Betty Staab of Mondovi, Wisconsin had a better motive for their road trip than hamburgers though; they got a new truck and a horse trailer! The epic part of it all? They went from their home in Wisconsin to Arizona and put almost 4,000 miles on their new truck they picked up on the way from us! Where are you from and how far away is that from Runde’s? Mondovi, Wisconsin. It was exactly 205 miles to get to Runde’s from where we live. It took a bit more than 4 hours because we went down during a snowstorm. Is the area you’re from known for anything? Buffalo County, we have the biggest flag-tailed bucks [...]

Indy fans get ready because the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has been selected as the official pace car for this year’s Indianapolis 500. This will mark the 12th time the Corvette model has served as pace car for the grand-daddy of all races … and how appropriate since the Corvette is essentially a race car that’s designed for urban streets.  The exterior color for the pace car will be Laguna Blue Tintcoat and there will be no exterior mods to the car. Jim Campbell, GM’s VP of performance vehicles had this to say about the selection, “It is an honor to help inaugurate the all-new Corvette Stingray at the hallowed Brickyard and further the legacy between Chevrolet and the Indianapolis 500. The 2014 Corvette Stingray’s performance was influenced by racing, making this prestigious assignment even more fitting.” We’ll all anticipate this years race and the cameo appearance [...]

For being such as small, cute and cuddly vehicle, the Spark EV sure does have a monstrous MPG Rating! In-fact, the little tyrant has officially earned the  status of THE most efficient retail car with an estimated 82-mile range and 119 MPGe (a gasoline-equivalent figure). The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates the Spark at a combined city / highway range of 82 miles on a full charge of its 21 kWh battery,  and has given the vehicle a rating of 119 MPGe  which tops out its competitors such as the Honda Fit EV. Check out the video below to see a little overview of how the battery works: [youtube=http://youtu.be/4V5biPpw4Q0]

Drop the “R” and and another “O” and instead of “Ford” you get “Food”. Coincidence? I think not. The two actually go hand in hand! Here’s something you may not know: the material that the comfy seats found in Ford Vehicles are actually composed with Soybeans! The “soy foam” used in the seats is a mixture of soy oils and other materials bringing an eco-friendly alternative to the rather dated petroleum based foams that were used. The introduction to this wonder-foam was first realized on the 2008 Mustang. Now EVERY Ford Vehicle uses the foam which is about 5 million pounds of soybean oil.  What’s the benefit? A huge plus is that the foam reduces c02 emissions by about 20 million pounds every year and it doesn’t stink like the Petroleum foam!

Dan Ouimet came in to buy a brand new ’13 Ford F-150 from our Manchester Salesman, Aaron Young. While he was here he got to experience, first hand, the great Runde experience we provide to our customers. Dan enjoyed his experience so much that he was willing to let the world know how good he was treated by Runde’s by doing a short interview. How would you rate your experience on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the best and 1 being the absolute worst? We would rate our experience at 10. We felt we were treated fairly and courteously. We were allowed time to think about the vehicle as a major purchase without any of the high pressure, oily approaches we’ve dealt with in the past. What did you think of your salesman? Our salesman, Aaron Young, was friendly [...]

Over the past few years zombies seem to have become more popular and as their popularity continues to increase, the public’s perception of them has changed to the point that they are now viewed by many as cool. And because cool individuals are often trendsetters, we have come up with a new word … Zomba, which means “so cool a zombie would drive it”. With the new 2014 Stingray Corvette set to be revealed in Geneva, Switzerland shortly after midnight tonight (even though photos of it that have already been leaked to the public), we would like to dub this car as being Totally Zomba! Note: Zombies are ficticions characters and do not exist in real life.  And furthermore if they were alive, many people have argued that they wouldn’t be able to drive.  Well, this author would like to point out how much of an unfair stereotype that [...]
The word ‘encore’ is defined as a demand by an audience for an additional performance, usually expressed by applause. In 2008 General Motors came out with the Buick Enclave and audiences expressed their overwhelming enthusiasm and admiration by buying lots of them.  The Enclave thrilled US buyers with it’s stylish looks, it’s voracious powertrain, its nimble interior design and its ample cargo space. Now as a reaction to the large demand for another attractive Buick AWD vehicle, GM has come out with an Encore.  As a smaller and more fuel efficient alternative to the Enclave, Buick’s 2013 Encore is currently available at Runde Buick in Platteville and it brings more diversity to the already stellar Buick line-up. The Encore was on display at the Chicago Auto Show last year and was met with positive reactions from ages three to ninety-three.  It compliments the current Buick family of vehicles very nicely and it also offers a viable alternative choice to potential Buick buyers who need AWD, but don’t [...]
One of the last things on anyone’s mind, post-natural disaster, is “all those poor vehicles!”. But what’s interesting is that those damaged, battered and torn up vehicles can actually be put to good use! Case-in-point –  GM is donating 300 vehicles Hurricane Sandy destroyed to Guardian Center in Perry, GA to help train first response workers. “When Hurricane Sandy hit the northeast in November we had a number of new vehicles at ports and on dealer lots that were flooded,” said Chris Perry, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet Marketing. “We could not sell them, so instead of crushing them, Chevrolet is using these vehicles to help train those who respond to just such disasters.” The 830-acre Guardian Center facility trains first responders in disaster situations through a modern cityscape simulator. They hone their plans, skill sets, equipment and leadership in the worst situations. “The vehicles we [...]
