Drive Through a Winter Wonderland at Reflections in the Park

Last year's event saw nearly 14,000 vehicles drive through the park.
The 24th annual Reflections in the Park is back! The lights festival that raises money for Hillcrest Family Services saw a record-setting year last year, raising more than $148,000. Nearly 14,000 vehicles drove through the park. “The event absolutely could not happen without our amazing volunteers,” said Darlene Bolsinger, Reflections in the Park coordinator. “Their time, talent, and dedication is outstanding.” Open 5-10 p.m. daily Nov. 22 through Jan. 1 at Louis Murphy Park in Dubuque, this year’s event features many new light displays. Looking for something to do with your family after the Thanksgiving meal? Reflections in the Park, the annual fundraiser for Hillcrest Family Services begins Thursday, Nov. 23! It continues nightly 5-10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23 through Monday, Jan. 1, at Louis Murphy Park in Dubuque. Be sure to check out the Runde Auto Group Silverado display! The cost is $10 per vehicle at the gate. Discounted tickets ($8) are available at all DB&T banks and at all Hillcrest locations. Santa Claus will distribute candy to all the youngsters between 5 and 8 p.m. every Monday in December before Christmas. Doggie treats will also be given to all the canine visitors. We would like to end our Raising awareness series with Hillcrest Family Services. Hillcrest has many different departments.  The various branches of Hillcrest are divided by age groups, gender, and specific needs of the children.  Hillcrest has helped countless kids as they mature into outstanding individuals. However, there is always a need for volunteers, especially in the role of a big brother big sister to one of the kids.
