Jeff Schmitt has been with us here at Runde’s for several years. Having to deal with appointments and service, Jeff is always a busy guy. Today, however, we got to sneak in a couple questions in an attempt to give you a small glimpse of the life of Jeff Schmitt. Thanks for chatting with me Jeff. To start out, what would you say is your position here? Assistant Body Shop Manager would be my “main position” but I do several other things such as service writing, making appointments, etc. How long have you been here? Since August 2007, so a couple of years. How do you like it at Runde’s? It’s great. Everyone is really friendly. Where are you from? I was born in Dubuque, lived there for about a year. Then [...]

One of the luckiest 19-year-olds participated and won big on the Price is Right. Why so lucky you ask? Well if winning a scooter, a trip to Boston and a bunch of money wasn’t enough… How ’bout a new Ford Mustang for a dollar? [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpMuiYNa3Xo&feature=player_embedded#] Perhaps this strikes some jealousy… or perhaps I’m just expressing my inner emotion… Either way everyone must give Taylor BIG credit for guessing the last two numbers spot on when it really counted — probably one of the biggest moments on the show, pre or post Drew Carey’s take over from Bob Barker. Here at Runde’s we may not be giving away Mustang’s for a dollar, but I guarantee that you will think the Price is Right at Runde’s!
Above is the official Ford NASCAR vehicle. Rolling out onto the 2010 season, the 2010 NASCAR Mustang will make it’s appearance as a vehicle that really looks nothing like the 2010 Mustang. The vehicle, although being officially credited as the NASCAR “2010 Ford Mustang,” is actually a stock NASCAR vehicle equipped with the Mustang’s logo, front-end details and name smothered all across the body. To me, it looks a little funky, but maybe that’s just me wanting to see more of the actual 2010 Mustang frame. What do you think? [polldaddy poll=1821468]
You are the next big street racer. You get thrilled by the speed and feel of it all – going high speeds, feeling and hearing the motor sing to you as you treat it with all the gasoline your foot can put down. One day you wake up, and you can’t see anything. The doctors all tell you that you are blind from what appears to be some head trauma you experienced the other night. You lose your licence and can no longer drive. Suddenly, your world turns upside down, the things that you loved so dearly are now forcibly extinct from the rest of your life. Life isn’t always fair, not everyone can enjoy things that we take for granted. But who says that the people have this or that disability can’t have a chance to enjoy something that we can experience? Ford doesn’t see why people that can no longer see can’t, at [...]
Check out the Mustang @ 1:22 [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LP-yuipInwY] I love the current Mustang and am looking forward to the 2010 Mustang. But you have to admit that the Mustangs of yesteryear really have their place. Mustang is an American icon that ROCKS!
I noticed this commercial online on the www.AmericanIdol.com website. Thought it was pretty cool. It starts out with a Ford Fusion, which I must way is an awesome looking car. It’s equipped with SYNC — the voice activated digital music system that Ford currently makes use of in cars like the Fusion and Focus (you might recall the famous Focus commercial where one guy is trying to embarrass his friend by saying “Play Michael Bolton” into his friend’s SYNC system.) Anyhoo – getting back to the Idol commercial … the lady in the Fusion says “Play artists American Idols” and then the commercial shows Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey, and Kris Allen getting into a bit of a jam, but escaping in a Ford Mustang. It’s a little hokey (Gokey gettin’ hokey), but that was sure a sweet-lookin’ Mustang that they rode off into the sunset with. Like I always say: If you have the means, I really [...]
As the new seasons of America’s hottest tv shows quickly approach, Ford Motor Company is feeling much anticipation of Ford’s small screen debut. This year, Ford vehicles are featured in one of the most-watched dramas on television, “Desperate Housewives”, as well as new series’ “Fringe” and “Knight Rider”. Wisteria Lane has become one of the most famous street names on television, and this year it will extend it’s popularity to the newest crossover of the Ford family…the Flex. Tom Scavo, Lynette’s husband, will be cruisin’ around the suburbs in the 2009 Flex in this season. Bob Witter of Ford Global Brand Entertainment said, “A lot of people drive a car because it’s an extension of their personality, and in the world of Hollywood, that’s one of the ways that they develop characters. We work together with show producers to match the car personality with the character personality. Tom is the type of [...]
