The New Chevrolet Cruze is arguably the most attractive mid-size sedan on the market today.   It’s common knowledge that Dubuque is only about a mile and a half from Runde Chevrolet.  Roughly over the past thirty years, Dubuque has become well-known in the eastern Iowa area as a tourist hot spot.  A lot of this started back in the late 1980’s when the Dubuque Greyhound Racing Park opened up down by the river.  I can remember my dad taking us down there in his new Chevy when I was still in high school.  Oh, me and my sisters couldn’t bet because of the strict laws against minors going anywhere near the wager windows, but it was a lot of fun watching the dogs run and watching the adult spectators become either infuriated or ecstatic depending on the race outcomes. Well when you
Eddie Severns, of Dubuque, picked up a new 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Dbl Cab today at Runde Chevrolet in East Dubuque! Eddie, who co-owns RF2 Furniture Warehouse with his wife Rebecca, plans to use his truck for hauling small items for the business. He was pleased with the price he was able to get a Runde Auto Group. “When you open a small business, every dollar counts,” he said. RF2 Furniture Warehouse, located at 900 Jackson Street, Suite 112 in Dubuque, features furniture, home decorations, and home accent pieces. They opened about a year and a half ago. “We are in the Millwork District,” he said. “There are a lot of cool things happening over there.” Eddie liked the white color of his new truck, as well as the handling and comfort of the Silverado. “I [...]
Ellen H., of Dubuque, IA, was not expecting to be in the market for a vehicle yet. “Normally when I buy a car, I’ve thought about it ahead a lot and I really hadn’t because I wasn’t going to do it until maybe next fall or going into next winter,” she said. But when she was in an accident last week, she needed a new vehicle — and fast. Runde Auto Group’s large inventory made it easy for her to get what she wanted. “I’ve had a good experience,” she said. Ellen picked up her new 2015 Chevrolet Equinox FWD 1LT earlier this week at Runde Chevrolet in East Dubuque, IL. “A friend had one and I really liked it,” she said. “I have mobility issues with my knees and it’s very spacious [...]
Runde Chevrolet got a blast from the past when Bob Kinsella pulled into the lot in his 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396. The vehicle, with its frost green exterior and dark green vinyl top and interior, was purchased from Paul Runde at Runde Chevrolet back in 1968. The cost for the special order at the time was just $4,165.90. Its original receipt itemizes features the vehicle included, like a clock for $15, the vinyl top for $89, the rear window defroster for $22 and bucket seats for $121. The 375 horsepower 396 engine, which still has its roar, cost just $252.80. The car is a bit of a boomerang [...]
Today’s results from the J.D. Power and Associates 2013 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS) show just how much GM has improved in long-term reliability and durability. The Vehicle Dependability Study focuses on problems customers experienced in the past 12 months with three-year old vehicles. This year’s study was based on feedback from 37,000 owners of 2010 model year vehicles.  J.D. Power measures overall dependability by the level of problems experienced per 100 vehicles. The lower the PPH score, the higher the dependability. Highlights of the 2013 VDS include: Four segment award winners: Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Sierra HD and Buick Lucerne Seven additional GM vehicles scored in the top three in their segments GM had the lowest rate of component replacement (e.g., batteries, switches, etc.) From an owner loyalty perspective, J.D. Power found that 54 percent of customers who experienced no vehicle problems stayed loyal to the brand. This number drops to 41 percent for [...]
Chevrolet recently launched their new microsite within Chevrolet’s main page that will allow customers to build out their future truck.  The actual trucks won’t hit our lot until this summer, but you can go Chevrolet.com and figure out how you’d like your next Silverado equipped and spec it out online.  It will pretty much provide you with everything except for pricing (GM hasn’t released exact pricing yet). If you have a few free minutes, check it out … take a look around … see what you like:  http://www.chevrolet.com/new2014silverado/#/build  — the page takes about a minute to load, but it’s worth the wait. There are many other cool features such as informative videos and overviews on the truck’s new technology.  So give it a go and take a virtual ride in your new truck.

If you noticed fireworks lighting up the western skies this past Friday, what you were probably witnessing was part of the festivities for the Annual Peosta Parade and Fun Day.   The sixth annual Peosta Days event was held in conjunction with the Annual Fireman’s Auction and the extravaganza promised something for kids of all ages. Friday’s events included the brilliant fireworks, skydivers, good food & drinks and live music featuring the band Hard Salami. On Saturday, the Peosta Days Parade took place and Doug Weig and his wife Angela were able to get some great shots of the Runde Chevrolet truck they drove in the parade.  It started at Mi-T-M and it ended up at the Peosta Rec Center. Doug said that it was a good time for everyone.   But the most intriguing event was one that I had never heard of … Cow Pie Bingo.  Doug said that he wanted to play, but it [...]

We all have nicknames for our friends and loved ones. America, as a whole, has deemed Chevrolet their friend as the “Chevy” nickname is uttered practically everywhere. But why don’t we usually call the brand by its full name?  Perhaps it sounds too French, n’est pas?  We’ll it begs the question, what do you prefer:  “Chevrolet” or “Chevy”??? Check out the video below for a quick view from GM’s perspective and let us know!
