Runde Chevrolet in East Dubuque recently had the opportunity to make a road trip to the Chicago Auto Show. We managed to pull up our jaws and glance at our cameras every once in awhile to snap some photos for you. We hope you enjoy viewing a few of the amazing vehicles that were there! Chevy ran an impressive show with an array of cars including the all- electrical Volt (left) and the new Equinox (right) [...]
This trip may not be as entertaining as Chevy Chase’s European Vacation, but it’s still a pretty cool story! [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-W50U2RP6g] A few guys from Motor Trend Magazine took the new Dodge Challenger SRT-8 on a 3,000 mile trip across Europe. They started in England, meandered around Europe, and wound up back in England 10 days later. Along the way, they stopped in Brookland to see the 1st race track that was constructed in 1907, they crossed the English Channel and went to Paris. They got the car up to 140 mph on Champs Elysees roadway in town. The Parisians were very accepting of them and the car, giving them thumbs up and cheering. They drove through old World War I battlefields of Verdan & Argonne on their way to Germany. They drove about 138 mph on [...]
There are many sports cars on the market, but according to MSN Auto, the top 3 researched are 1) Chevrolet Corvette, 2) Ford Mustang, and 3) Dodge Challenger. We have a good selection of Corvettes and Mustangs available at our East Dubuque Chevrolet and Manchester Ford-Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep stores. Challengers are available by order, and we also have a few arriving soon! The 2009 Corvette moves into uncharted territory for GM; the new ZR1 comes on the scene with a 638-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 and a 6 speed manual transmission. What capabilities does this add to the ‘Vette? 205 MPH. The standard Corvette has a 430-horsepower V8 and still manages to get 26 mpg on the highway and 16 mpg in the city. This year marks the 45th anniversary of the Mustang in it’s 2009 model year. It is one of the most popular cars in the Ford lineup, and is also one of the last affordable American-made sports cars. The GT [...]
Runde of Manchester received its first 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 earlier this week. It was ordered through our Manchester location, and was already spoken for when it got here. It only spent a couple hours with us before the rightful owner came to pick it up, but it was here long enough to leave a lasting impression and it certainly drew a crowd of admirers!!
The retro look is now back in full force as Dodge will soon unleash the Challenger SRT8. The new Challenger will compete head-to-head with the Ford Mustang in the retail muscle car market. And not too far off in the future, Chevy will release their all-new Camaro that will hint back to the ’69 Camaro of yesteryear. Dodge representatives have not yet announced final pricing for the more-affordable SE and R/T models, but they have said it will be priced to take on the Mustang, which starts at $20,000. This is good news for those who like the look of the car, but aren’t willing or able to shell out the beaucoup bucks that the SRT8 will undoubteldy command. Please feel free to call to the Runde Dodge Store in Manchester at 888-927-2630 for more information about the availability of the all-new Challenger. Dodge has already sold more [...]
