Buick officially unveiled the 2012 Verano today at the North American International Auto Show.  Is it a winner?  Let us know what you think. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuxWRz7D3Ik&fs=1&hl=en_US] [polldaddy poll=4372522]
What did the mama turkey say to her naughty son???   If your papa could see you now, he’d turn over in his gravy!
I haven’t seen the Ellen Show in ages, and I must admit that her show is quite amusing. She’s a natural entertainer along the lines of Jerry Springer, but her show itself is more comparable to the Oprah show in nature … Oprah-lite if you will. I ran across this on the net and thought it was kind of cool … Last week Ellen decided to give away a new 2011 Buick Regal to one of her loyal viewers. However, like most of the segments on the Ellen show, she decided to have a little fun with it first. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZVFg9hoCgQ&fs=1&hl=en_US] Now I realize that not everyone will receive a free Regal in this lifetime. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t get one the old fashion way. Runde’s in Cuba City, WI currently has a good selection of 2011 Buick Regals in stock that you can view 24/7 at www.RundeAutoGroup.com

I also want you to know how impressed we are with Runde’s! Awesome people and awesome service! Keep it up! Take care! Ed Whitacre, the CEO of General Motors, annouced that GM has paid back all of the borrowed money in full to the government with interest. This gigantic announcement demonstrates a level of confidence within the company that has surfaced mainly due to a slimmed down product line, a more refined company focus, and exciting new products like the Chevy Equinox, the Chevy Camaro, and the Buick LaCrosse that are selling almost as quickly as they arrive on dealers’ lots. With this move, they are basically saying that they wholeheartedly believe GM is now on the right track to profitibility. And here at Runde Chevrolet and Runde Buick, we know without-a-doubt that GM is back on track and ready for the road ahead. The tank is full, the engine is hummin’, and the GPS is set … Destination … Success. Full speed ahead. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-XrbVFG7o0&hl=en_US&fs=1&]
In the car business you often get a mixture of old school thought vs. new school.   Yesterday, this really seemed really apparent when we asked one of our senior salesmen to help provide us with a customer of his that we could interview for the blog.  His response was: “No.  Actually, I can’t wait ’til that thing (the blog) goes away.”  In the past couple years, social media has become what it is and at Runde’s we have tried to embrace it for the positive.  We run a good business and word of mouth has always been one of the cheapest and best forms of advertising.  So we figure, we’ll interview customers and ask them what they thought of their experience at Runde’s.  It’s been good for Runde Auto Group and we get to discover a little more about our customers — facets of their lives that may not have normally come to the surface during a normal [...]
There comes a time in everyone’s life where they have to let go of something. A child lets go of their “blankie”, A teenager lets go of their first crush, the 21 year-old slips away from the realm of a carefree life… On Friday here at Runde’s, we had to let go of Mary Jane Baxter as she left us for what has commonly been referred to as “retirement”. Laughing, munching, and enjoying herself, Mary Jane stopped by for the last time (as an employee) to the Runde Chevrolet building to partake in her retirement taco salad party. Excitement filled the air as we ate good food and chatted with Mary before she left.  Before she got out the door, I caught Mary Jane for a quick interview to discover what she might be up to in the future.   Mary Jane, your last day here… how are you feeling? Well, I’m excited and a little sad. It’ll be a big change, I’ve worked [...]

We give you two of Runde’s newest customers:  The Sefziks Where are you originally from? Epworth/Dubuque. What kind of vehicle did you buy? Buick LeSabre 2000 Custom. That’s a well-built car — I like those too. Where is the first place you’ll take your new vehicle? Madison – To go to the granddaughter’s musical program. Both of our granddaughters play hockey and softball so we’ll be going to those games as well. Will you give your new vehicle a name? No! We already have a car that we named “plastic car,” but that will be the extent of it. What was the first car you bought? 1964 Chevy Impala SS 4 speed. Another well-built car — definitely not a plastic car… What’s the best thing about your [...]

To the owner of Runde Auto Group: On Thursday, March 19th at 4:30 p.m. we were near Boscobel, WI on our way to Cuba City.  We were driving our 2000 Buick LeSabre and started noticing that we were having some problems.  By the time we reached Platteville, we weren’t sure if we could make it to Cuba City, but decided to try and did make it.  Our next problem was that at 6:30 the next morning, we were leaving for Madison, WI with my family to watch the Benton Zephyrs play at state tournament.  My mom’s neighbor said that he would take our car to Runde’s and have them check it out.  I took the number of the service department and told the neighbor to tell the service department I would call them after the Benton game.  When I called, I got Al Dellabella.  He said that they had a car that was almost a twin [...]
Runde Chevrolet in East Dubuque recently had the opportunity to make a road trip to the Chicago Auto Show. We managed to pull up our jaws and glance at our cameras every once in awhile to snap some photos for you. We hope you enjoy viewing a few of the amazing vehicles that were there! Chevy ran an impressive show with an array of cars including the all- electrical Volt (left) and the new Equinox (right) [...]

Practicality has been the main characteristic on everyone’s minds at GM, Chrysler, and Ford. Over the past few years, they have been drawing up plans to increase fuel-efficiency, while still allowing enough cargo space for American families, and the amount of ‘stuff’ we all think we need when we travel. The ‘Big 3’ have been pouring their resources into the development of some high-quality family sedans and some new hybrid vehicles. Check out my showcase of a few current models, as well as upcoming releases! Yahoo! Auto came out with their list of the best deals in October. Ford’s Escape and F-150 Super Crew made the list, as well as the Buick Enclave.   Buick currently has 0% financing on most 2008 models, and the Enclave has 0% and $1,000 cash back on top of that. Ford has 0% on select models, and the F-150 has 0% for 60 months or $7,500 cash back. The Escape has 0% for 60 months or $3,750 cash back. With the rebate, some trim levels can be purchased for under $20,000. Jeep also has up to $4,500 cash back on select ’08 models.
New technology has been a big part of vehicle purchases in the last decade, and Buick stood up to the challenge when they designed their Lucerne. How many accidents occur due to blind spots or lack of visibility? Drivers are 3 times more likely to have an accident changing lanes than they are if they stay in one lane. The engineers at Buick understood this concept, and added a solution to the Lucerne. The Side Blind Zone Alert system is set up to notify the driver of a vehicle in their blind spot. You are driving down the interstate and want to pass a slow-moving tractor (in our case here in the Midwest), and you put your turn-signal on. As you start to veer into the passing lane, there is a vehicle sitting near your rear bumper, but you can’t see them. Your Lucerne has a laser system that will trigger an alert in your [...]
I sat down with Al Dellabella, the Sales Manager at Runde Buick in Cuba City. He is a tough guy to catch! I almost had to handcuff him to his chair to get the interview completed. Just Kidding! He had some very interesting stories, and is a great guy to talk to. Runde Auto Chat: How long have you worked at Runde Cuba City? Al Dellabella: Before it became Runde Buick, it was Dellabella Motors. I worked there for about 30 years, and have been working for Runde’s for about 6 years. RAC: What do you like most about working here? AD: The clientele and internal personnel; We are a real team (He referred to them as the “Cuba City Connection”) RAC: Any favorite restaurants in the area? AD: Brewery Creek in Mineral Point – Our son works there, and I really enjoy the atmosphere. For a [...]
Check out the following video review of the Buick Enclave from Barbara Terry. Her comments are in-line with everything that our current Enclave owners are telling us. General Motors announced recently that it’s adding the 2009 Buick Lucerne to its flex-fuel lineup. The alternative-fuel version of the Lucerne can be selected as a no-cost option and can run on gasoline or E85 or any combination of the two. This means the Lucerne thus has the distinction of becoming the first flex-fuel passenger car from Buick. The Lucerne was named after Lake Lucerne in Switzerland. I had the good fortune of spending a couple days there in the spring of 1993 and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to travel abroad. “Timeless beauty” would accurately describe the lake and the city surrounding it. It is easily one of the most scenic locations in the heart of Europe.   GM said the Lucerne will be among more than 15 of its models with flex-fuel capability for the 2009 model year, up from 11 models this year. Some vehicles that [...]
Working for a GM dealership, the benefits of the GM Certified Used Vehicle program is something that has become permanently chiseled in our minds. But for customers who don’t deal with this stuff everyday, GM vehicle certification may seem a somewhat foreign term. So I thought I’d take up a little space here to go over the ins and outs of what a GM Certified Used Vehicle actually is.To even be considered for the GM Certified program, a vehicle must be 2003 model year or newer, with fewer than 60,000 miles. These are vehicles that either meet GM’s rigid standards for quality or they won’t be certified.     GM Certified Used Vehicles (Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac) are available at Runde Auto Group, and all feature: 100,000-Mile/5-Year Powertrain Limited Warranty — Now, [...]
