I spent three days fighting through the dense jungles of Cuba City to gain the opportunity of meeting one of the longest surviving sales people in the Tri-State area… Al Dellabella. Al has been with the Runde team since 2002. This is his story… Are you originally from the Cuba City area? Yes-sir, I have lived here all my life. How long have you worked for Runde Buick and what do you do here? I have been here since the sign out front changed. I actually used to run Dellabella Motors before it became Runde Buick. My grandfather opened this store in 1938, and made it an official Buick dealership in 1949. So this store has been in your blood for a while… Yes it has. Like I said, my grandfather started the store, then my dad took it over from him, after [...]
There comes a time in everyone’s life where they have to let go of something. A child lets go of their “blankie”, A teenager lets go of their first crush, the 21 year-old slips away from the realm of a carefree life… On Friday here at Runde’s, we had to let go of Mary Jane Baxter as she left us for what has commonly been referred to as “retirement”. Laughing, munching, and enjoying herself, Mary Jane stopped by for the last time (as an employee) to the Runde Chevrolet building to partake in her retirement taco salad party. Excitement filled the air as we ate good food and chatted with Mary before she left.  Before she got out the door, I caught Mary Jane for a quick interview to discover what she might be up to in the future.   Mary Jane, your last day here… how are you feeling? Well, I’m excited and a little sad. It’ll be a big change, I’ve worked [...]
To the owner of Runde Auto Group: On Thursday, March 19th at 4:30 p.m. we were near Boscobel, WI on our way to Cuba City.  We were driving our 2000 Buick LeSabre and started noticing that we were having some problems.  By the time we reached Platteville, we weren’t sure if we could make it to Cuba City, but decided to try and did make it.  Our next problem was that at 6:30 the next morning, we were leaving for Madison, WI with my family to watch the Benton Zephyrs play at state tournament.  My mom’s neighbor said that he would take our car to Runde’s and have them check it out.  I took the number of the service department and told the neighbor to tell the service department I would call them after the Benton game.  When I called, I got Al Dellabella.  He said that they had a car that was almost a twin [...]
