Looking to get a great gas mileage car without putting a dent in your style or wallet? You have probably considered the H0nda Fit or the Toyota Yaris, but if you wait for the Ford Fiesta you will not be disappointed. I was very skeptical of the car at first. I 6’1 with a big build and found these little gas-mileage cars “cramping” my style. But I went to the Chicago Auto Show and experienced the Fiesta first hand and I must say I’m impressed. The car, in my opinion, looks fantastic from the outside but what really took my breath away was the interior – QUALITY. Seriously, for a vehicle that starts around $13.5k and ends well under $20k it felt like $30k+ luxury car. And the best part? I wasn’t cramped! I found it hard to find any flaws with this car, I’m very excited to get my hands on it and if [...]
I had to grab some footage of this. It looks like it automatically takes you to the beach as soon as you sit in it. Something you probably won’t be seeing around the Tri-States, to say the least, but very cool! The Makai is based on the Suzuki SX4 and I’m pretty sure it’s targeted towards people that don’t live anywhere near here. The Suzuki Kizashi, with it’s four-wheel drive and powerful engine, however, is right up our alley! [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLq2FnYsZyA]
Here’s some footage of the next generation Ford Focus from the 2010 Chicago Auto Show! It’s exciting to see how this model keeps getting better over the years. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2E_6WsZhKk]
In a tie for “coolest car at the auto-show” I give you the Ford Mustang GT500. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ROO4nh17UI]
While the new vehicles being displayed at the auto show were fascinating and exciting, there’s something about vehicles that haven’t been seen on the road for a long time that strike that same emotion. Looking at some of the first vehicles ever invented really gave me an up-close and personal look at just how far we have come. Take a gander at the vehicles below… They were using wood as a body frame material and actual lanterns were being used as lights.  Automotively speaking, some things that we find today to be primitive are beautiful in my mind.  But beauty aside, I don’t think the National Committee for Highway Safety would see lit lanterns hanging from a vehicle as “safe”.  In the event of an accident in today’s world, open flames and potentional gas leaks aren’t exactly seen as the best [...]
The Chicago Auto Show is now over with and you missed it, shucks. Don’t worry! In continuation of our 2010 Chicago Auto Show in review, here is the 75th Anniversary White Diamond Edition- Chevy Suburban. It’s very sleek and definitely chic! Look for it soon at Runde’s! The McCormick building – Where the magic happens. I’m gonna go out on a limb here and go on record saying the Chicago Auto Show is the auto lovers’ candy store.  The autos are eye candy for kids of all ages. “Bake me up a fresh batch of those Chevy’s, Candyman!!!”  Walking in the entrance to the show floor, it becomes overwhelming to think which direction to go first. Shortly after glancing over the offerings, it becomes apparent that your hours are turning into minutes and that the closing time of 10pm is far from fair. For those of you who couldn’t make the show, have no fear! Runde’s has you covered! Over the next week or so look forward to a review of the Auto Show, starting today with a few vehicles that were on display from Chevy. Check [...]
