2014 Detroit Auto Show – New Vehicle Coverage

Those of us in the Tri-States that couldn’t attend the Detroit Auto Show don’t have to feel left out! Here are some of the hot vehicles being shown at the show.

2015 Ford F-150

The wholly different look of the F150 has been getting quite a bit of praise. An even more exciting tidbit was the announcement that the truck will have an aluminum-intensive structure and a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine. The use of aluminum cut a massive 700 pounds from the truck’s curb weight!

2015 Ford Mustang

tangThe new beast will have either a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine or a 3.7-liter V6 that remain as the base engine, while the GT will sport the popular 5.0-liter Coyote V8. The 2.3 is estimated to have 305 horsepower & 300 pound-feet of torque!

2015 Corvette Z06

vetteNot much is known about the new Corvette, Yet. But there are rumors that it will be over 600 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque! Check out those aggressive lines – this promises to be one of the baddest boys in the ‘hood.

2015 GMC Canyon

CanyonThe Canyon, following the recent announcement of its brother, the Chevy Colorado, has aluminum-block engines with direct injection and variable valve timing available. The two engines are the 2.5-liter four cylinder with 193 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, and a 3.6-liter V6 is available with 302 hp and 270 lb-ft.

2015 Chrysler 200

200With an all new exterior AND interior and AWD Standard (for the v6), the Chrysler 200 is set to become the mid-sized car to drive. The engine options are the 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder and venerable 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 which has a preliminary estimate of 184 horsepower and 173 pound-feet of torque.
