Fiesta Is Near... and Even More to Get Excited For(d)

Technology , Ford No Comments »

What's not to love about the Fiesta. The fact that it demolishes its competition, such as the Honda FIT and the Toyota Yaris, in nearly every category out there just isn't enough sometimes. So here's more! The Fiesta, in addition to beating the competition in terms of horsepower (competition ranges from 106 to 117 hp vs. the Fiesta at 120 HP) , Safety and features now also take the top prize in terms of fuel economy. While the FIT offers an impressive 28/35 MPG it falls short of the Fit's recently announced and officially official 29/40 MPG. Need I remind you that in addition to all of these class superior specs, the Fiesta starts at $13,320 while the FIT starts at $14,900 - why pay more to get less?

Try one for yourself this summer when they start rolling out of production, you'll see why so many people are excited to get their hands on one.

While I wasn't aware that the Lamborghini is in the sub-compact Class, the Fiesta is apparently better!

Other reasons Fiesta is better than others in its class:

Ford Swap is Back!

Vehicles , Ford No Comments »

Suffering from unintended acceleration? Afraid of "what's next" in terms of recalls on your vehicle? Now is the perfect time to swap that lemon for some grade-A lemonade with the umbrella and all. With the Ford Swap program you can get some unbelievable deals on top of your trade for a vehicle that is sure to take your breath away. This is how it works: 1. You are finding that your current vehicle is a bit sub-par for your liking. 2. You trade in your vehicle. 3. You get an additional 0% APR PLUS $1,000 Cash Back for trading in your old vehicle. There are some vehicles excluded from the list of eligible cars that you can get with the incentive, but nowhere on that list is the Mustang (excluding the Shelby Mustang). You could be trading in your current turtle and burning some affordable rubber in your near future! But make sure not to get too comfy in your current ride if you are considering this offer, as the incentive ends at the end of next month.

Remembering the Classics

While the new vehicles being displayed at the auto show were fascinating and exciting, there's something about vehicles that haven't been seen on the road for a long time that strike that same emotion. Looking at some of the first vehicles ever invented really gave me an up-close and personal look at just how far we have come. Take a gander at the vehicles below... They were using wood as a body frame material and actual lanterns were being used as lights. Automotively speaking, some things that we find today to be primitive are beautiful in my mind. But beauty aside, I don't think the National Committee for Highway Safety would see lit lanterns hanging from a vehicle as "safe". In the event of an accident in today's world, open flames and potentional gas leaks aren't exactly seen as the best combination. Just think 100 years into the future... they'll be saying: "I can't believe they used fiberglass and steel for the vehicle bodies and their engines burned gas and diesel!" Vehicles clearly are a measure of progress and creativity for our society. Who knows what the future will hold on the vehicular timeline ... but something tells me that our great, great grandchildren will still be whining for a way to be transported to the mall on snowy winter days when school has been cancelled. Enjoy a blast from the past with these Classic Ford cars!
