Letter #2 addressed to Dan Rausch (Service Manager at our Manchester, IA location)

Dan Rausch and co-workers,

A "special" Thank You to all of you for operating a First Class business. I was highly impressed with the two gentlemen who brought the van back and drove my car home. I was impressed with your dealership in the way we were treated. This is your very best advertisement and I will be on your team around the Oelwein area. Thank You!! - Darlene Weishaar

Thanks to Deb and Darlene for your feedback. It means a great deal to us when we hear positive things back from our customers.

Meet Runde Customers: Paul & Tarrill Abney

Customers

Paul and Tarrill Abney from Cedar Rapids, IA are the proud new owners of a 2011 Chrysler Town & Country. They bought their vehicle from Chris Cruse in our Manchester, Iowa store. They loved how they were treated and wanted to share that experience. Paul was gracious enough to answer a few questions going over their experience at Runde's and let us in on a bit of his life.

How long have you lived in Cedar Rapids? 50 years. Are you married? Yes, my wife and I have three wonderful children.

What kind of vehicle did you buy? We ended up with a 2011 Chrysler Town & Country.

How have you been liking the van? We like it very much.

What do you use the van for? Mostly daily use things. It’s really nice when we are going on vacation or traveling.

What’s the best thing about it? It’s very comfortable and surprisingly quiet.

Do you think the van is a female or male? Does it have a name? I guess I haven’t decided on a sex… and no it doesn’t have a name.

Do you let your friends/kids eat in the new vehicle? Maybe snacks.

Do you have a favorite spot in the Tri-State Area? Probably along the Mississippi, Guttenberg and places more North.

What is your ideal vacation? We’d like to visit Washington D.C. We would tour the Smithsonian Museums, Congress, White House, the Lincoln, Washington, and Jefferson Memorials, and the Library of Congress. We probably would have to have several vacations to take in all the sites.

What is one theatre movie coming out this summer you want to see the most? Have you seen the new X-Men: First Class, Midnight in Paris or Super 8? We don’t watch too many movies, so we don’t have one to look forward to. We haven’t seen any of those.

How did you like your salesperson, Chris Cruse? Chris was very knowledgeable about the different cars we were interested in. Also he was helpful in arranging financing.

Overall, how was your experience with Runde Auto Group? We have purchased four vehicles from Runde. We feel the prices we paid were fair and better than competing dealers. And we agree with your slogan in that “We Like Your Attitude”.

Thank you for your kind words. Hope you have a great time in Washington whenever you decide to go!

Greta Foley? Rihanna Tickets? Yep, She's Got 'em.

Customers
Greta Foley at Runde Chevrolet
Tickets in hand and Chicago bound.

The winner of our Rihanna concert tickets give-away stopped into Runde Chevrolet today to pick up her two free tickets. She was very excited about winning the tickets and she'll have a chance next week to find out first-hand why everyone is going so crazy over this rising star of the music world and all of her chart-topping tunes. When we asked Greta who she was going to take to the concert, she said that she really hadn't had time to think about it. Oh decisions, decisions :)

Everyone here at Runde's hopes that Greta has a great time at the concert. Who knows? Maybe she'll feel like Cinderella ... ella ... ella at the dance.

Father's Day Breakfast with Boy Scout Troop 14

Customers , Community

Everyone has their own way of showing their appreciation to their fathers on father's day. Why not start out the day by taking your father out to a nice breakfast? Not sure where to go? May I suggest the Mid-Town Marina where Boy Scout Troop 14 will be serving a wonderful breakfast for you and your father to enjoy? Sunday, June 19th is Fathers Day and Scout Troop 14 will be serving Eggs, Pancakes and Sausage from 8:00am - Noon to anyone who wants a great Fathers Day Breakfast to start off their day. We sat down with Clark Wolff, who works with the East Dubuque Boy Scout Troop 14, who was kind enough to give us some details of the event.

What is the main goal of this event?
The pancake breakfast is actually Troop 14's main, and biggest, fundraiser for the troop. The kids that work the pancake breakfast actually earn money to go to camp. The proceeds earned from the breakfast are divided up amongst the boys and is used to help them with the cost of going to camp Klaus.

Camp Klaus?
Camp Klaus is a beautiful, permanent, camp site out by Colesburg. There's a huge lake, about 10 camp sites, tents with wooden floors, big mess hall, shooting ranges, archery ranges, different crafts... it's a really great time. The kids stay up there for a week and enjoy their experience.

How long has this event been going on?
This is our 20th year, it's an annual event.

How many troop members help out with the breakfast?
Right around 20.

Is it open to everyone?
It's open to the public and we have it down at the Marina. If it's nice outside we will have the breakfast outside but if it's rainy we put it inside. The Marina has been exceptionally nice for this event.

How many people go to eat the Breakfast?
Usually there's about 400 people who show up to eat.
